    Pros +

    • Location
    • Sparkling clean, nice and helpful staff. The hotel is situated in Old Quarter , place is fantastic.
    • The staff was really amazing and problem-solving driven. After a pre-check-in issue, which they reported right away, they upgraded our room to the Suite. We got different breakfast options each morning, yummy food. The receptionist and concierge were super helpful and liked chatting, which we welcomed. I would come back to this hotel and recommend it to others.

    Cons -

    • Definitely it needs renovation, facilities are old and sometimes don't work. In our room the socket didn't work and shower was keaking.
    • Rooms and bathroom are a bit worn out and old. Not as good as it looks in pictures.
    • Hot water was a problem but they fixed it

The booking.com website said it is situated in the French Quarter but it is not. It’s in the Old City. I had booked so I went. A spacious room, very clean, very friendly and helpful staff. In all it was okay to stay in the Old City.

Hot water was a problem but they fixed it

Wonderful staff (accommodating, helpful), cleanliness, great location (close to vivid streets/alleys of local shops and eateries), room with essential commodities and a good city view.

    8AbegailPosted on: 7-4-2025

The location is not accessible by car, which is a challenge if you have many luggage. It is near many places, such as famous food places, souvenir shops, landmarks, and even a supermarket. The staff let us in way earlier than the check-in time, which helped us a lot in order to prepare for our tour upon arrival.

The door in one of our room cannot close properly, it was okay but a bit of a struggle.

The location was super convenient - right in the city center and really close to restaurants and souvenir shops. We only stayed for a night and slept for a few hours. The room was clean, but it looked a bit old as there were some parts of the floor starting to peel. The hotel has a lift, which was super helpful for seniors and PWDs. What we really appreciated was that they packed our breakfast to-go since we had to check out at 4am to catch our flight - such a nice gesture!Overall, the staff were really friendly and did their best to adjust to whatever we needed.

The room was a bit on the pricey side, especially compared to other hotels nearby that were nicer and more affordable.

Susan on reception was lovely and very helpful and informative, she booked our overnight train to Sapa and Limousine bus back for us. The young bellboy was amazing took us to the train STN and waited for us and got us on our train.

The hotel is a little tired, bed and pillows hard needs some TLC. Breakfast is basic but ok. Overall good value for the money.

Why i got stay at serenity diamind hotel on 2-Apr and 3-Apr move to serenity villa hotel without a valid reason. The bed is very POOR condition (feel the spring come out) is NOT level as Deluxe double room, WHY still use this bed (see room 603).It's not recommended at all

We were upgraded to a bigger room at the top floor. Our only complaint was the wifi that didn’t really work.

When we arrived in Vietnam at the beginning of our trip, we stayed here and loved the hotel, so we decided to stay here again at the end of our trip, three weeks later. The staff is very nice and helpful. They upgraded us to a bigger room the second time we stayed here and offered to help arrange transportation to the airport They also allowed us to leave our bags at the reception after checkout. I really liked the transparency with which they handled everything. They tracked our luggage with a receipt. They also gave us a stamped paper copy of our payment for our stay. No other hotel we've stayed in Vietnam has been as transparent. The hotel has a very good location, although it is a bit hidden, since it is on a pedestrian street, is perfect because there is no noise in the rooms. Located in the French Quarter (Hoan Kiem area), it's possible to walk to the Old Quarter and practically all of the city's attractions. In both stays at the hotel the rooms have been spacious, clean and the beds comfortable.Breakfast is a bit scarce and is only served until 9:30.At night they close the main door but they always have someone from the staff sleeping at the reception who can open it.The value for money is good for the city of Hanoi.

    - Quiet and central location - Spacious and nice rooms- Comfortable beds- Friendly staff

    - Very weird room design with hanging lamps above the bed (we ended up bumping our heads into them 2-3 times)- There were mattresses on the stairs of every floor, which raised concerns about fire exit safety regulations !!!- Simple breakfast- Awful coffee (I highly recommend Tornado Coffee, a lovely family-owned place nearby)- Bathroom needs some renovation (leaky sink and outdated facilities)

The staffs were all accommodating and friendly. They allowed us to check in early once a room was already available. They provided us extra pillows when we asked for it. The room was really clean as well.

We had a trouble locating the area at first since it's kind of in an alleyway. The breakfast wasn't ready when we went down at 7am and it was also meh. The TV has no internet.

    7KaryantoPosted on: 4-3-2025

The room is big & clean.Silent condition.

The location is quite difficult to find, no sign board direction.B-fast no peovide asian menu instead of western menu.

Big thanks to Susan Tran who had arranged bus ticket to and from Sa Pa , organized transfer to and from Halong Bay, she is very competent. The hotel is a bit difficult to find but our taxi driver called Susan and she sent someone to meet us and help.

Great location. Friendly and accommodating staff, they even upgraded our room. Spacious rooms. Simple breakfast but adequate, good coffee. The hotel is located in a small alley and cars can't go in, so you have to carry your luggage from the main road to the hotel.Great value for money. Ideal for backpackers and foodies.

We left after 1 night even though we paid for 2.

Cleanliness. Bath, facilities. When we arrived we checked room and cleaned surfaces. My granddaughter opened a drawer and there was a used full condom in there. We reported it. They asked if we wanted to change rooms but as we had already unpacked we asked for it to be cleaned. They simply removed the condom but the spillage was still there. The bath was stained and dirty. We left after 1 night as neither of us wanted to use the bathroom. I have stayed in better hostels. The rooms need updating and cleanliness to be improved.

    Not at all pleasant stay

The whole hotel is very dated. Everything from inside and outside is old and worn out. Rooms are very humid, there is mold everywhere. The mattress is horrible and even though the windows are facing the yard and it should be calm at night they were some extremely annoying birds screaming at the top of their lungs whole night. Breakfast has a very small choice. I would suggest not to do it at all, there are plenty places in the neighbourhood where you can crab a good coffee and a fresh pastry.
